One thing I've always loved about websites is the hypertext navigation. It's a lot like having the ability to read something by Stephen Hawkins and have an immediate resource to understand every second utterance in the text (sorry Stephen, you just work on another level altogether). Better yet, your not confined to a text explanation... a picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes, however in this case its not just a picture. It could be a film, a speech and so on. It's the mulitdimensional form of digesting and sharing information that appeals to me and is one of many strengths behind the appeal of the internet.
As you may have guessed, this is my first blog (or weblog). Prior to setting this up I'd had absolutely no HTML training and have never published anything online. Despite a fair deal of trepidition about getting started, this is now looking pretty good (a quite pat on the back) and hopefully a bit better by the time I've finished the Module 3 Tasks. The user friendly nature of blogging from sites such as Blogspot invites rather than hinders participation when faced with a lack of technical knowledge (i.e. how to write HTML, use of FTP etc.). Check the additional resources for this module for further readings on the subject matter.
